This is a National Event limited to players who are rated below 2200. If yo
u would like to face stronger opponents, the Great Lakes Festival (https://
www.kingregistration.com/event/MidwestMasters) is held simultaneously: it o
ffers cash prizes and is FIDE rated.\nNotation is mandatory for the entire
game (except for Round 1 of the 2-day schedule).\nAccelerated pairings migh
t be used.\nOrganizers reserve the right to choose the highest of the publi
shed ratings (Regular, Rapid, Online Regular, Online Rapid, FIDE) for the p
urpose of section selection, pairings, and prizes. Only regular ratings are
