The 2006 NORTHEASTERN will again be held at the Holiday Inn – Neenah, 123 East Wisconsin Avenue. Use the Main Street Exit (#132) going east off Hiway 41. Main Street merges into Wis-consin Avenue after a few blocks. The hotel is just over 1 mile from the Hwy. Room rate is $74 for sgl/dbl. Mention the tournament. is only 4 miles from the hotel!

The 42^nd annual NORTHEASTERN will be a 5-round event held in 3 sections: Open, Reserve (U1500) and Non-Rated.

Late registrations will be accepted at the site from 9:00 to 9:30 on January 21^st. All three sections will play their rounds at 10:00 – 2:30 – 7:00 on Saturday, and 10:00 – 3:00 on Sunday. Time Control is 35/90, then SD/60. A single half-point Bye is offered in any round. Players rated 2100 or higher may take a FULL-point Bye in Round One if pre-registered.

Entry fees are: $32 for the Open, $15 for the Reserve, and $10 for the Non-Rated section. All fees mailed after January 16^th are $5 more. This

mailed! Make your checks payable to NEWCA. This Prize Fund offers the largest class awards at any USCF-rated tournament at Wisconsin:

NON-RATED

Trophies to: 1^st Place and

best score Age 12/Under.

Bookseller/Vendor Tim Tobiason will set up at the tournament on both Saturday and Sunday!

The 42^nd NORTHEASTERN OPEN is a U.S.C.F. Heritage Event. Pairings will be made by WinTD 4.10. NEWCA Procedural Rules are used!
